Christmas Hamper Program
Saddle Hills County
Saddle Hills County’s annual Christmas Hamper Program accepts donations of food or cash for families in need during the Christmas season.
Typical food items include all the ingredients required to make a Christmas dinner including frozen ham or turkey, boxed mashed potatoes, gravy mix, cranberry sauce, dream whip, pie filling, pie crusts, boxed stuffing, biscuit mix and canned vegetables.
Donations of gifts for any children in the household, and assorted additional items, such as hygiene products and quilts are also accepted.
Dates for nominations and applications for 2024 Christmas Hampers will be announced later in the year.
You can request a hamper personally or nominate another family or individual to receive one using a Christmas Hamper Application. Learn more at saddlehills.ab.ca
Christmas Gift Card Program
Nampa/Northern Sunrise County
Nampa/Northern Sunrise County Community Services organizes a Christmas Gift Card Program to help families and individuals in need during the Christmas holidays.
If you need a helping hand this Christmas season or know someone who does, and you live in Northern Sunrise County of the Village of Nampa, visit or call your local Nampa/Northern Sunrise County FCSS office to nominate someone or to find out how to benefit from the confidential Christmas Gift Card Program.
Would you like to make Christmas brighter for those who need extra help? If so, please visit or call the Nampa/Northern Sunrise County FCSS office.

Fort Vermilion Support Services organizes Christmas hampers for families in need during the Christmas holidays. If you feel that this program is for you stop by the FVSS Office and fill out a form.

Crossroads Resource Centre, Fairview
Crossroads Resource Centre in Fairview invites community members to nominate those they think could benefit from a little extra support during the holiday season.
Crossroads’ Adopt-A-Family program works in partnership with the community to provide the basic essentials for a holiday meal and gifts for the children of nominated families.

Holiday Gift Card Program
Town of Grimshaw
The Town of Grimshaw Community Services Department is organizing the Holiday Gift Card Program to help families in need during the Holiday season. Please call or email Grimshaw Community Services to donate. Your financial donation will buy gift cards from local businesses to support families in need.
If your family or someone you know needs assistance, please contact Grimshaw Community Services as a verbal application form must be filled out to be eligible for this program. Please note: the amount of gift cards given out will depend on amount of donations received and the number of applicants.
Application forms are available at the Grimshaw Community Services Office at the Mile Zero Regional Multiplex. Eligible recipients will be contacted with information about gift card pick up and drop off.

Adopt-A-Grandparent Program
Town of Peace River
Make this Christmas special for seniors in Peace River! Adopt-a-Grandparent provides gifts to seniors who may not otherwise receive anything this year.
Pick up a bag between November 12 and December 13 and return it filled with gifts by December 16.
Their elves will deliver to seniors in need.

Christmas Hamper Program
Central Peace FCSS
The Central Peace FCSS offers a Christmas Hamper Program for distribution for the Village of Rycroft, Town of Spirit River, MD of Spirit River and Birch Hills County. The FCSS office then accepts donations of canned/boxed food items and children’s toy items for distribution through the program. A person/family can apply on their own behalf or be nominated and can include the ages of any children needing gifts.
