The Grimshaw Regional Healthcare Attraction and Retention Scholarship Program is designed to provide financial support to students entering a healthcare or medical-related program and encourage them to work in the Grimshaw area.
Applicants need to reside in the County of Northern Lights, Town of Grimshaw, MD of Peace #135 or the Village of Berwyn.
The program is open to high school students, students already in a qualifying program and adults who are considering enrolling in a medical or health-related program in person or online.
Applicants will need to provide proof of acceptance into a qualifying program and proof of residency.
Applicants will also have to submit a 500-700 word personal essay outlining their career path, their commitment to working in a rural northern setting, any relevant volunteer or work experience and any other pertinent information that will help the selection committee with their decision.
Applications close on December 31, and the successful applicants will be chosen in February 2025.
