Hailing from the Maritimes, Thomas Fraser will be taking over the role of principal at St. Thomas More Catholic School in Fairview beginning September 2024.
Fraser has a bachelor of arts degree with a joint major in political science and history from St. Francis Xavier University and a bachelor of education from Acadia University. He has experience teaching in Nova Scotia, Nunavut, China and Alberta.
Thomas has a strong background working with inclusive education students and teaching in a Catholic school environment. He is currently a member of the St. Joseph’s Parish Pastoral Council and hopes to continue to grow the faith community at St. Thomas More.
“This is an amazing opportunity to create something new and wonderful for Fairview,” said Fraser. “I am blessed to be part of this growth and new beginnings. I look forward to joining the Holy Family Catholic community.”
The Holy Family Regional Catholic Division is excited to have Fraser on the team.
“I am excited to welcome Thomas and to take these next steps into the future at St. Thomas More Catholic School,” said Superintendent Betty Turpin. “Thomas is the leader we were looking for, and we will support him in moving forward to bring high quality Catholic education to Fairview.”
