Rentco Equipment Peace River
Rentco opened in Peace River in 1980, and it has stood the test of time. Consistently evolving to meet the demand and needs of its community, they supply heavy equipment and power tool rentals and they are home to Bobcat of the Peace and Peace Country Honda.
Even more, they are also a Husqvarna and Hilti dealership.
Undergoing several renovations over the years, their 2023 one was the biggest, giving Rentco Peace River’s entire building a massive facelift.
“We did everything from the sidewalks, windows, doors and siding to building a new wash bay, expanding the mechanic’s area, adding a make up air system in the mechanical shop and installing new heating and air conditioning throughout the building,” said David Bentley, Rentco Branch Manager in Peace River.
The goal behind these renovations was to process business more efficiently and have customers come in and out effortlessly.
The expansion has also allowed Rentco to increase its number of employees, and operations have been running more smoothly ever since.
“Because of the renos we have been able to add two apprentice mechanics and another parts person to our team,” said Bentley. “We’re now able to help more people and keep our rental fleet moving more consistently.”
With a comprehensive team of employees, including Bobcat and Honda specialists, Rentco can service everything they sell and rent.
Alongside their Shop Foreman, they have two second year HET apprentices and a Honda Certified Journeyman Small Engine Mechanic, who has a third-year apprentice as well.
“We have a great Shop Foreman, Mike Rafferty, who’s been with us for almost 20 years,” said Bentley. “He is a platinum certified Bobcat tech and is our expert of the rental fleet. He also has a new service truck that allows him to offer great on-site customer service.”
Always adding new equipment to their rental fleet, Rentco is diligent when it comes to upgrading and updating their wide range of rental availabilities.
“This year we purchased two new Bobcat MT100 mini track loaders,” said Bentley. “They allow customers to get through smaller gates and openings and are very popular with homeowners.”
When acquiring new equipment for their rental fleet, Rentco prioritizes customer needs and encourages people to reach out if they have trouble finding specific equipment.
“Our goal is to continuously improve—we are always fine tuning our processes. We manage our inventory to have the right product at the right time for our customers,” said Bentley.
